When
talking of wireless network quality, J.D.’s Network Quality Survey is carried
out in the US every year. This year, the survey declared Verizon Wireless as
the best in wireless network quality among all other network providers across 6
regions in the US. The survey was carried out after talking to 41000 wireless
network subscribers to share their experience with their last 10 calls, text
messages, emails and internet connection using their mobile devices.
The survey
is carried out over a period of 6 months, from July to December. It covers 6
regions of the US, comprising of 48 states and the District of Columbia and
finally it declares which company ranks highest on the basis of the results.
Verizon Wireless is not just achieving the top spot for the first time as it
has topped the charts for the 3rd time.
The survey
results are not final on the basis of what subscribers declare, J.D. power also
enquires about other aspects of service quality. It measures the number of
calls dropped, how many did not get connected in the first try, how many times
it got disconnected midway, audio failure, late delivery of messages or voice
mails, errors in loading web pages, failed voice mails with calls, slow
internet connection and email transmission failures. They are all considered as
important aspects of the survey because they show the true picture of the
wireless network and its quality.
