AT&T Sued for Cutting Back on Speed of Unlimited Data Plans


The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has announced its move on suing AT&T for slowing down data speeds for some customers. These customers were known to have been using unlimited data plans provided by the telecom giant, which actually had a limit. The customers found out the reality only later when they exceeded their data usage during a billing cycle, which resulted in the slowing down of their Internet speed.

Verizon Makes Changes to Its Edge Program


Verizon Wireless is making the move to introduce some vital changes in its financing program called Verizon Edge. This will increase the price customers must pay off on the cost of their device before getting a chance to upgrade to a new one. The wireless major is also found to be introducing changes to its single-line plans. The changes are expected to be applicable from October 16th 2014.

AT&T Mobility Charged with $105 Million for Unlawful Billing Claims


AT&T Mobility, one of the largest mobile phone operators in the country, will be paying off $105 million to consumers for billing them unlawfully on services that were uncalled for. The company will have to pay the hefty amount as penalties and refunds for inconsiderately billing cellphone accounts of customers.
