Verizon Revised Its Original Unlimited Plan

Quite recently, Verizon has revised its unlimited wireless plan and there is not much for the customers to be happy about. In other words, the whole revision in the plan has turned out to be a disappointment for the users. Let’s see how and why.

Revisions in Verizon Unlimited Plan

Verizon, the largest free government phone service provider, had introduced its unlimited plan after all the telecommunication giants got into a huge battle over customers.

All four of the major telecom companies – Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint had introduced unlimited plans recently with a vision of removing the limits on data usage by their customers.

Verizon’s unlimited plan, costing $80 a month, was part of this ongoing battle and people seemed to like it aside from having a few loopholes.

Thus, with the plan, the government assistance cell phone service provider managed to attract numerous new customers.

However, now Verizon has increased the price of the same plan and the good news is that the video speed is high-definition 720p now instead of 480p.

There is a cheaper alternative for the plan too that is available for $75. However, the videos running on this plan are of DVD quality.

The unlimited plan is also available for families with four members. The family version of the plan is available for $200 and the cheaper version is available for $160. Thus, the customers can get what they need based on their requirement and budget.

The customers who already use the unlimited plan by the free governmentphone service provider can stick to the old plan with a benefit of 720p of video speed on their phones, which was not the case earlier. Thus, the 4K-resolution is not available now. However, that wouldn’t be much of a change for most people.

The unlimited plan, Go Unlimited, by the government assistance cell phone service provider was earlier available in four variations, $75, $65, $50, and $40 per line. And now, the revised plan –
Beyond Unlimited – is available for $85, $80, $60, and $50 per line. The revisions have brought changes in video streaming, data speed and quality, and the plan comes with Verizon Up rewards.

Also, with the revisions, the plan allows free calls, texting, and data in Mexico and Canada.

“These plans give you the best unlimited choices, but you also get what only Verizon can give you: the best network, the best rewards program, the best way to manage your plan with the My Verizon app and the best selection of phones and devices,” said the free government phone service provider in a press release.

In a Nutshell

With the revisions in the unlimited plan, Verizon isn’t going to gain much because there isn’t much that the company is offering with its Beyond Unlimited plan. Thus, it is tough to say how customers are going to react to the alterations in the unlimited plan.

It can turn good or bad or can stay neutral for the telecom giant, so, we’ll have to wait and watch how things unfold.

T-Mobile’s REVVL: A Game Changer among Budget Phones

Recently, T-Mobile has come out with a bang! Not with a new plan or new service, but with its own branded mobile phone – REVVL. This is the first ever branded smartphone released by the third largest government cell phone service provider of the US.

There is a lot going on after the release of the amazing budget phone REVVL as the phone seems like a total win. Along with key specs, the revolutionary fingerprint lock, and budget prices, REVVL already seems like tough competition for high-priced flagship phones.

As the free cell phone service provider has mentioned, T-Mobile’s REVVL is about how to keep your phone under budget and not about how much more you can spend on a basic technological need.

REVVL: All you need to know

The basic features of REVVL include a 5.5” HD Display, 32 GB of storage, 2 GB RAM, and cameras including 13 MP primary and a 5 MP Selfie shooter. Other than these features, the latest feature that you can see in this phone is the fingerprint sensor at the back which is a rare sight in budget smartphones.

With these features and a 3,000 mAh battery, the government cell phone service provider is surely trying to stand out as the prices at which the phone is offered are quite affordable.
The phone runs on Android Nougat and is available through T-Mobile with an offer of $5 per month without any down payment, if the customer gets the JUMP! On Demand plan of the free cell phone provider.

The other option of getting the phone is with a straight payment of $125.

With the launch of the phone, T-Mobile has also made certain amendments in its JUMP! On Demand plan – a plan that allows customers to upgrade their devices. These amendments are made in order to allow subscribers to switch to budget phones too, instead of only going for the high-priced ones.
Now, with the JUMP! On Demand plan, the available devices will be called the ‘SmartPicks’. These smartphones include REVVL, LG Aristo, LG K20 Plus, ZTE ZMAX Pro, and Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime.

According to Mike Sievert, the COO of T-Mobile, “Not everyone walks into a T-Mobile store and wants the latest flagship. In a world where new phone prices go up year after year, many of our customers are looking for ways to keep up with the Joneses – in terms of features – without needing to keep up with the Kardashians – in terms of how much they spend.”

“Lucky for them, some of today’s most affordable phones have features once available only on the latest flagships. We’re seeing budget-friendly phones today that are practically identical to flagships from just a couple years ago. Gorgeous screens, great cameras on the front and back, and plenty of memory and power to run the most popular apps. That’s exactly what many of our customers – who tell us they want a boatload of features without spending a boatload – are looking for.” He added.
These words by the government cell phone service provider’s COO are directed towards the high-priced smartphones from Samsung and Apple. Especially the upcoming iPhone 8 which is supposed to be priced at $1000.

In a Nutshell

REVVL is just launched in the market and its reviews are yet to come in the market. With the new phone, we will have to see how T-Mobile will achieve new heights.

T-Mobile’s JUMP! On Demand: New Bait For Users

T-Mobile once again made it to the headlines with another program that lets users upgrade their phones every 30 days. The program is best-suited for users that like being upgraded to the cutting-edge technology.

Earlier this month, the offer was introduced for users to upgrade their devices three times a year. But now, with the 30-day option, the free government phone service provider has made things much more exciting for their users.

T-Mobile’s JUMP! On Demand

The JUMP! On Demand by T-Mobile is available for both the existing subscribers and for the non-subscribers who would like to switch to T-Mobile’s postpaid or free government phone service.
To get the program, the subscriber has to enter into an 18-month lease agreement that will allow the customer to get their device upgraded once every 30 days.

The monthly payment of the customers and the payments made throughout the lease agreement depend upon the approval of credit for the customer. Also, it depends upon the choice of the paid or free government cell phone plan you choose, government taxes and fees, and that of the device.
All the devices leased through the program JUMP! On Demand are owned by T-Mobile.

To get started with the program, non-subscribers of the free governmentphone service provider can call 1-800-866-2453 and if you’re an existing subscriber, you can simply dial 611 to get into the program.

The devices eligible for the plan include iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, etc. For inquiry about the eligibility of your device, you can ask T-Mobile customer support or visit any T-Mobile store.

If you’re on an active lease agreement with the free government phone service provider, you can either upgrade your device, purchase it, or can end the lease.

The option to upgrade the device allows you to get a new device every 30 days. To upgrade, you will have to choose a different device model, a different device, or a different memory size. Also, the device you have under your old postpaid or free government cell phone plan lease must be in a good condition.

In the program, the free government cell phone plan provider didn’t mention the whole list of eligible devices besides the ones listed above. Thus, the customers will have to confirm before they go for the agreement under the program.

In a Nutshell

With the JUMP! On Demand program, T-Mobile is going to attract a number of new and existing customers as it seems quite exciting for the customers. The program is aimed at offering a choice of devices to the customers, so they don’t have to stick to just one device throughout their lease agreement.

Thus, the program offers high-quality devices and we’re hoping that the customers get to choose the other devices as well. So, in all, the program is going to be a win for T-Mobile as far as we can see it!

The rest depends on how it actually goes!

Verizon Getting in Charter’s Way to Expansion and Build Out

Among all the leading telecom service providers, there prevails a monopoly of one government cell phone service provider or the other. To maintain this monopolist position, the telecom giants often go out of their way to be an impediment in the services of others.
The exact thing happened recently when Verizon was seen coming in Charter’s way. Let’s see what happened.
Verizon Being an Obstacle in Charter’s Expansion
Now, the problem arises with Charter’s move of expansion where the company needs to attach its equipment and wiring to roadside poles in order to provide customers with its services. The expansion is to be carried out in New York State.
The services to be offered by Charter include internet service and TV services offered by the company.
The issue arises because most of these roadside poles are either owned or co-owned by Verizon. Thus, to give Charter a chance to deploy its equipment on these poles, Verizon, the leading government cell phone service provider, has to take its own equipment down from a number of them.
For this, Charter Communications has evidently submitted 822 applications for pole attachments to Verizon. These applications included attachment requests for around 55, 856 poles. Along with the applications, Charter has also paid application fees of $409,296 to Verizon.
Now, besides this, Verizon – that is known for its government cell phone planhas been giving a hard time to Charter in the approval of the applications.
Out of the 822 applications, only 179 have been approved by Verizon to date. According to a complaint sent to the PSC by Charter, even after receiving the application fees, the government cell phone service provider isn’t taking the desired actions.
It has been seen that after the acquisition of Time Warner cable by Charter Communications, the company is bound to expand to new areas and Verizon is being a great obstacle in its way.
According to Charter, Verizon is doing so for competitive reasons as the company, while being celebrated for its government cell phone plans, also offers TV services through its FiOS cable TV.
This clearly shows that Charter’s TV and Internet services are bound to clash with that of Verizon’s in the capital region and this is evidently dodged by the leading government cell phone service provider – Verizon.
What Verizon Has To Say
While being accused of deliberately delaying its work on pole requests by Charter, Verizon denies the matter completely.
According to Verizon’s spokesperson Raymond McConville, "We have been more than cooperative and even presented Charter with options to speed up their construction efforts,"
"For them to try to shift blame is puzzling at best. We stand ready to continue to assist them and again provide them with the methods to speed things up”, he added.
In a Nutshell
If Verizon is deliberately getting in Charter’s way, the reasons are pretty loud and clear. However, because of these reasons, the internet users that have opted for Charter’s services might suffer because of Verizon’s level of cooperation.

Verizon Stands Third In the New Wireless Speed Test

Ookla, the company known for its famous Speedtest services has conducted another speed test for wireless networks and for Verizon, the news isn’t so good! When tested for raw speed, Verizon seems to lag way behind in the race, scoring the third spot.

Ookla’s Speed Test
Ookla is the renowned company that’s responsible for conducting the speed tests for different telecommunication giants including the huge government cell phone providers.

From the data of the past few months, it has been seen that Verizon ranks third in the speed test conducted by Ookla.

It has been a great disappointment on Verizon’s part as the network has been the most expensive one among all the top free government cell phone service providers. Besides offering such pricey prepaid and postpaid plans, the network provider lags way behind in the speed test.

Verizon finds itself in third place in the test behind T-Mobile and AT&T.

However, the Ookla speed test doesn’t necessarily give a clear image of the network as the test data has been collected from the Ookla Speedtest Service users, which is quite a small portion of users.
Thus, judging the giant government cell phone provider wholly on the basis of such a small amount of diverse users can be a little unjustified.

Also, it has been seen that users generally run a speed test when their network isn’t performing normal and this greatly depends on the devices being used and their location. Thus, the speed test results are greatly diverse and biased.

On the other hand, Ookla has been considered to be a renowned name for its speed test services, thus, people are still going to judge Verizon on the basis of this test.

The reasons behind the slowed down speed of the Verizon network are considered to be many. But as per T-Mobile, Verizon’s situation has gotten this bad because of the new unlimited plans being introduced by the giant free governmentcell phone service provider.

Also, when you look back at the recent performance of the telecom giant, Verizon has been losing its name in the market because of slowed down speed and interrupted services.

This has inversely impacted the reputation of the free government cell phone service provider.
Conversely, with an inclining growth curve towards a good reputation and success, T-Mobile has been coming out as one of the widely expanding government cell phone service providers.

According to the speed test, AT&T has also maintained its position in the top 2 networks as usual.

In a Nutshell
Recently, the news headlines have not been in favor of the biggest government cell phone service provider, Verizon. Thus, the telecom giant is losing its good reputation in the market.
It might be just a bad phase for the service provider but it’s making Verizon lose its subscribers and customers in a large amount. To get back on track, Verizon needs a great data plan and the company must start working on improving its raw speed so as to win its customers and reputation back in the market.

Sprint’s New Promotion Trick: A Desperate Move to Get More Customers

Amidst the merger talks with T-Mobile, Sprint made quite a desperate move in the market that is termed as an aggressive promotion technique. On Tuesday, the 4th largest US telecom carrier launched its new unlimited plan that is directed to loot the customers of its rivals.

The Plan
“Stop feeling ripped-off by Verizon”, says the introductory line of the Unlimited Plan launched by Sprint. This shows the direct approach of Sprint’s new free government cell phone plan to target the customers of Verizon.

The plan offers a years’ worth of unlimited data, talk, and text. It is available for the customers who bring their own device from the other telecom giants, especially Verizon. The customers must own the device that they bring for the offer.

The offer lasts until 30th June. According to the plan, the customer has to pay the admin fee of $1.99 for one month and for the SIM card, a sum of $2.99 is to be paid, plus the taxes.

Throughout this unlimited government cell phone plan, the customer will enjoy 4G LTE data with the data speed of 1.5 Mbps for music and 8 Mbps for streaming games. As for the videos, one can watch HD videos in 1080p.

Mobile hotspot of around 10 GB is also available with the plan. After you’ve spent the mobile hotspot allowance, the speed of the hotspot is dropped to 2G. To renew the hotspot data, you will need to buy it again and it costs around $15 for 1 GB.

Sprint’s new free government cell phone plan is available to those who sign up for automatic payment of bills. The eligible phones are of a handful of manufacturers like Apple, Samsung, Google, and Motorola.

Sprint’s Idea behind the Plan
Evidently, Sprint is targeting its rivals and to be very precise – Verizon. However, the execution of the unlimited free government cell phone plan by Sprint is being done in a smart manner. With a very low cost, the carrier is experimenting in the telecom market.

The plan is offered online and all the marketing and promotions are done on Sprint’s official website. There is no physical promotion on billboards or even on TV. This shows that Sprint is cutting low on the costs that it might have incurred in the marketing of the plan.

Also, Sprint is not aiming for immediate results. Slowly and steadily, the government cell phone service provider is seeking better results by defeating its rivals and inducing their customers to switch.

The customers who are looking for low-cost government cell phone services and who can bear the slow data speed and deprioritization during network congestion would actually want to switch to Sprint.

No doubt, the plan is worth a look that’s what Sprint intended to do to entice users who are burdened by overpriced data plans.

So, Sprint has made its desperate move. It’s to be seen whether things turn out well or not! Will Sprint bring Verizon’s shares down in the market? The right time will tell!

T-Mobile Soon to Offer the New iPad Pro Models

Apple announced the release of new iPad hardware in the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017. And a day after the announcement, T-Mobile confirmed that it is going to sell the new iPad models, soon in the following week.

The immediate announcement by the government cell phone service provider shows its alertness and focus on the market and competition.

Here is what all you need to know about the announcement.

About The New iPad Models
The two iPad Pro models launched by Apple are of 10.5 and 12.9 inches. Both the models are available in the storage slots of 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB. All the model variations will be available with T-Mobile, one of the leading government cell phone service providers of the date.

Both the new iPad Pro Models are available in the colors – Space Gray, Silver, and Gold while the 10.5-inch model is available in Rose Gold as well.

The all-new models of iPad are to be offered by T-Mobile online as well as at the T-Mobile stores throughout the US. Thus, if you were planning to switch to T-Mobile’s services or to get another cell phone plan, you’ve got another reason to give it a shot!

The new iPad models come with the 64-bit A10X Fusion chip processor by Apple. This new processor is said to have the CPU performance 30 percent faster and the GPU performance 40 percent faster than the A9X processor chip. The latter is found in the previously launched models of iPad Pro like the previous generation 9.7 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.

The new processor is said to make the new iPad Pro models faster and high performing as compared to most laptops and PCs, leading the markets. The promising performance and a great repute of Apple, makes this offer greatly beneficial for T-Mobile, a growing government cell phone service provider of the time.

T-Mobile’s Offer
Just a day after the announcement of the launch of new iPad Pro Models, T-Mobile jumped into action and announced to offer the models along with its cell phone plans.
The T-Mobile ONE customers using AutoPay can add the new models of iPad Pro to their ongoing plans. This way, they can get their tablet and use it with T-Mobile’s unlimited 4G LTE data. All of this, just for $20 a month!
The offer is considered as a smart decision taken by the leading government cell phone service provider.

What’s the Catch?
With the offer of Apple’s new iPad Pro models with its cell phone plans, T-Mobile is targeting some high-end customers. It is quite a given that the customers who will go for the iPad Pro are surely financially backed and can avail the high-priced cell phone plans of T-Mobile.

Thus, the vision of T-Mobile behind the offer is quite clear as the service provider is targeting its pick of the bunch customers so as to expand its services through its expensive plans and earn profits. This offer will not only make the customer base of T-Mobile stronger but will also help it stay much ahead in the competition.

Thus, T-Mobile is again going to beat its fellow government cell phone service providers with this smart move.

Cell Phone Service Provider, AT&T Introduces 4G Cellular in Nome

At the beginning of this month, the renowned cell phone service provider AT&T began offering its Nome customers a 4G network. Regardless of the enhanced coverage, more local support for AT&T customers won’t be included in the upgrade.

AT&T’s Director of External Affairs for Alaska, Shawn Uschmann, says that the company has invested over $150 million in network upgrades throughout the State between the years 2014 to 2016.
On asking Uschmann why a 4G network was introduced just freshly in Nome, he answered, “AT&T launched 4G service in Nome to improve the customer experience, and with these investments, our customers are going to see increased reliability, coverage, speed, and overall performance on the network, and that is definitely something they are going to see in Nome.”

He continued, “These investments also improve critical network services that we use to support public safety and first responders throughout the state of Alaska, specifically in Nome.”

The giant cell phone service provider has used the existing infrastructure to establish a 4G network in Nome. Thus, it has not built any separate AT&T towers to accommodate the service. To execute the 4G project, the company’s employees from different Alaskan locations and several contractors are working together.

“This was a big job for us,” Uschmann said. “It’s going to be a game changer, we think, for Nome when the customers see the increased data speeds and get to experience that in real time; we hope it’s happening right now. We really look forward to hearing from our customers and what those experiences are.”

Some of the citizens in Nome have shared their experience. They have faced diverse problems with their phones since 4G was turned on. There were more frequent dropped calls or a poor network connection between the caller and the receiver.

Uschmann said that in case customers face any issue, they can report to AT&T by calling 611 from their cellphone or a national customer support number.

“Again, this is the same call center that handles calls nationwide for AT&T, so we’re comfortable with the level of support that they’re going to be able to provide, and we think the customers in Nome are going to be pleased with the experiences they have calling into those numbers,” Uschmann stated.
According to the director of the cellular phone service provider, the company never discloses any details about the number of customers it covers in a given area, therefore, there is no information about the number of people using AT&T service in Nome. However, the company has plans to include any additional staff as they can manage the performance of its network remotely.

Presently, a small team from the cellular phone service company is visiting with its local partners, including Kawerak and the City of Nome for the day.

AT&T Adds Security Applications for their Networks

AT&T is bringing up new products for business customers that use its services for handling data centers and large networks.

Customers can buy specific hardware from outside companies to add security features. Visit Palo Alto Networks (PANW, +0.52%), Check Point Software (CHKP, +1.05%), and Juniper Networks to make purchases.

There is another option to add security features that can save you money. Use software to do the same thing!

"Once we get the basic service installed, it's as easy as downloading an app on a smartphone if you want," says Thaddeus Arroyo, who oversees the AT&T unit focused on large business customers.

AT&T, a well-known Government cell phone service provider, is offering alluring services.

AT&T's corporate division has been striving hard to woo customers away from purchasing exclusive networking gear in favor of inexpensive hardware that can be enhanced by downloading software. The push moves the giant Government cell phone service provider, AT&T, from just installing and managing hardware designed by others on its customers' networks to selling its own gear and amassing recurring revenue for the applications as well.

Last year, "AT&T Network Functions on Demand" changed its name to the new Flexware line. It can already run security features from Fortinet (FTNT, +1.12%), network routing software from Cisco Systems and Juniper (JNPR, +0.34%), and programs from other popular network gear manufacturers.

The new security applications can deliver services such as filters to block phishing emails or firewalls to keep out hackers.

See Also: Sprint is Getting Precise about its Merger Details

The cellular phone service provider’s most recent move follows the bigger inclination to expurgate costs in corporate data centers and cloud computing facilities by depending more on software. This market is expected to escalate 53% annually for the next four years, attaining $12.5 billion in total sales by the year 2020. This analysis is done by the market research firm International Data Corp.

The cellular phone service provider AT&T says that customers can spend much less with Flexware than other dedicated hardware to connect to their networks from the same sellers. Applying the same functions in software on general computers is less expensive in total.

AT&T says “it has sold 2,000 Flexware devices since the name change last October. The product is available in 200 countries now, up from 150 last year”.

The participating network software companies are expecting to keep their customers in the fold as they move to more generic networking gear and cloud computing gains preferences. However, it has been difficult. Several renowned companies, including Cisco (CSCO, +1.22%) and Ericsson (ERICCSON) have seen a downfall in their sales for high-profit networking gear.

In March, Cisco paid around $4 billion to buy AppDynamics, which is a prime network monitoring service provider through the cloud. AT&T's says that 34% of its own network was software-driven in 2016, and aims to reach 55% by the end of 2017 and 75% by 2020.

Sprint is Getting Precise about its Merger Details

The Federal Communications Commission has banned discussion on the merger, and its expiration has enabled wireless carriers in the US to talk about any potential consolidations and acquisitions. Sprint is one of the Government cell phone service providers that is inclined to be a part of the imminent telecommunications merger.

After the release of its quarterly earnings, the wireless carrier’s CEO Marcelo Claure said that the company is able “to be very patient” with any possible mergers and acquisition.

This year T-Mobile bagged the title of the third largest wireless carrier in the United States, although the Kansas based company still flaunts its major spectrum holdings. During the video conference, Masayoshi, the son of the Chief Executive Officer of Government cell phone service provider, Sprint’s parent SoftBank made a statement “the carrier is more than ready for the recently started “unlimited war” in the country due to the fact that its competitors can’t guarantee a reliable, growing service whose growth is fueled by unlimited data plans due to the fact that they don’t have the necessary spectrum to turn that approach into a sustainable business model”.

Sprint is a well-known cellular phone service firm that has earlier boasted of its spectrum holdings in the context of a potential merger. The company claims to be a worthy acquisition for virtually any wireless carrier in the country because of its spectrum portfolio, supporting a growing team of services with a small investment. However, investment is where Sprint is lacking!

During a recent earnings call with analysts, Claure said that the Government cell phone service provider is “open to potentially doing new acquisitions,” however, going through Sprint’s rising debt details and recent financial performance, many industry watchers are doubtful about its ability to go through with a chief acquisition. In the year 2015, Sprint had $30 billion in long-term debt and it will add around $11 billion of debt maturities by 2020.

The current value of Sprint’s share is $7.89, which is 13% down compared to May 2. Industry watchers are skeptical about its performance due to its weak cash flow. The interest rates on its loans are rising, thereby, disappointing profit margins.

Based on analysis and observations, analysts are skeptical about the sustainability of Sprint’s business model although its performance has highlighted some improvements in the last few quarters as the Kansas-based firm has escalated its revenue and managed to increase its user base with 42,000 postpaid adds.

Sprint’s assets, like spectrum portfolio and networking infrastructure, are heavily mortgaged, and it is still working at a net loss. Let’s see whether Sprint will be able to maintain its position with the potential consolidation with T-Mobile or another firm. Irrespective of what will be the result, it seems that there will be major changes in the wireless industry soon.

Sprint Boosts Network, Creating 500 Jobs by Adding 105 New Stores

The free Government cell phones provider, Sprint, is planning to open 105 new mobile stores in locations, like Rosemont, Schaumburg, Skokie and Oak Lawn. It will hire 500 employees to staff in these stores.

“We knew we had to add more Sprint and Boost Mobile stores for both our postpaid and prepaid customers,” Jim Mills, Sprint president of Illinois and Wisconsin, said in a statement. “Chicagoans are seeing our network and customer care improvements.”

This Government assistance cell phone company requires more brick-and-mortar stores to meet the growing demands of the people.

Sprint will also augment its Chicago regional network by providing customers the Sprint Magic Box. This device is a wireless small cell that can boost the ability of the network to download and upload data inside homes and businesses.

The first test site for its upgraded network was the Lombard suburb of Chicago with Magic Boxes for outdoor use, indoor small cells and other network advancements. This device allows faster data downloads, thereby, showing significant improvement for video streaming.

“The combination of all of these new technologies will help Sprint densify quicker and it will provide customers an improved experience inside their business and homes while on the Sprint network,” Scott Santi, Sprint vice president of network for Central Area, said in a statement. “We’re extremely excited about the results we’ve already seen in Lombard and nationally.”

Sprint is looking to compete with other giant free Government cell phones providers by providing assistance to customers having several smart devices in their homes or businesses. According to Sprint, data usage of its customers has risen over 1,254 percent in the last five years in the Chicagoland area.

Sprint, AT&T and other wireless providers are striving hard to augment network capacity in order to cover consumer demand, particularly of people using many devices in the same household or business.

The added cells and network enhancements at Sprint is a great step to offer faster downloads for data, particularly better streaming for video without delaying.

The network improvements around the region, and countrywide will take place in the next 24 months. These upgrades may lay the foundation for the coming of 5G, or the next generation of wireless.

"We need to add these steps now to the foundation in order to go to 5G," said Brian Moran, director of site development for Sprint.

Subscribers who want to enjoy the benefits of the Sprint Magic Box would need to fill out a form. The box is free, Moran said.

Sprint’s new mobile stores will provide employment to a large number of people. Additionally, its efforts to offer an advanced network consisting of alluring features will engage an enormous number of customers.

T-Mobile, Government Cell Phone Service Firm Starting 5G in US in 2019

T-Mobile is a well-known Government cell phone service provider that is planning to start rolling out a fifth-generation network (5G) in the United States in the year 2019. The renowned telecommunication firm was among the top winners in an airwaves auction useful for mobile service.

T-Mobile is the number 3 wireless carrier in the US that has reported targeting nationwide 5G coverage by 2020. The Government assisted Cell Phone Company will use a certain part of the low-band spectrum that it recently bought for $8 billion in the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's auction of broadcaster airwaves.

Features of 5G

It is expected that 5G will offer faster speeds and response times in comparison to today's 4G LTE network. It has the potential to connect at least 100 billion devices. Wireless carriers consider 5G a multi-billion dollar opportunity, however there has yet to be a set standard to define it.

What the rival Government assisted Cell Phone Companies are up to

Two rival telecommunication firms, Verizon Communications Inc and AT&T Inc, have been conducting 5G trials consisting of high-band airwaves known as millimeter wave spectrum to offer an ultra-fast broadband service. This can give tough competition to other cable providers. The millimeter wave technology can offer faster speeds, however, it has a drawback in it’s ability to cover big geographic areas.

The other Government cell phone service provider, Verizon Wireless, is testing similar service with equipment maker Ericsson in 11 markets in the U.S. It is expecting to make a commercial launch as early as 2018. Meanwhile, AT&T has successfully completed tests with Nokia, offering its streaming video service DirecTV Now over a 5G connection with the help of millimeter wave technology.

While the giant Government cell phone service providers, AT&T and Verizon, have shared their views about faster broadband in denser urban areas as the first stage of 5G, T-Mobile is focused on broader coverage that can support connected devices in the upcoming years, said Roger Entner, an analyst at Recon Analytics.

"Everyone is getting into 5G," Entner said. "The angle they're using to get in is slightly different."

There are possibilities of using T-Mobile's 5G for applications, like tracking everything from packages in delivery trucks to children, he said.

He added, "I'm a little bit skeptical of how quickly this happens."

In an interview, T-Mobile's Chief Technology Officer Neville Ray said the company was rational in its launch objectives. "It's not like we're going to have a 5G network tomorrow," he said. But "we want to start talking about...the applications that 5G can bring."

So, we will have to wait and see how the things will turn out in the future for T-Mobile’s 5G network.

T-Mobile's Profit Remains Same, but User-Growth Outlook Improved

T-Mobile US Inc. will have more subscribers in the year 2017 amid intensified competition from Verizon Communications Inc. and AT&T Inc, although there may be a negative impact on its profit.

T-Mobile is a renowned Government cell phone service provider and is the third-largest U.S. wireless carrier that will add to 3.5 million customers this year. Earlier, it had 2.8 million customers. The Washington-based company, Bellevue has also maintained its profit outlook for the year 2017, suggesting that the price to get those new customers in the door will take a hit on the extra earnings they generate.

Even at the higher end, those customers’ additions would result in a trivial strike for the fastest rising U.S. wireless carrier. In 2016, the firm reaped 4.1 million new monthly subscribers nearly two times that of the reputed Government assisted cell phone firm, Verizon.

T-Mobile is inclined to keep increasing its subscriber in order to put pressure on its bigger rivals. To maintain their affluent position in the market, both Government cell phone service providers, Verizon and AT&T, are now actively marketing mobile-phone packages, consisting of unlimited data.

T-Mobile signed 914,000 new subscribers in its first quarter. This number is 820,000 more than the analysts’ expectations.

It will be critical for T-Mobile to add new customers as well as protect profit simultaneously. The Government assisted cell phone provider Verizon’s decision to begin unlimited data services led to shares sinking of nearly every telecom stock in the month of February.

T-Mobile kept its prediction for 2017 adjusted earnings before interest, depreciation, taxes, and amortization of $10.4 billion to $10.8 billion, with analysts expecting $10.7 billion on average. In the previous year, T-Mobile displayed adjusted EBITDA of $10.4 billion.

Chief Executive Officer John Legere says “the company counted four days in the first quarter that Verizon stole T-Mobile customers, and it is taking market share so far in the second quarter”.

Setback of Affluences

The Government cell phone service provider, T-Mobile’s latest performance may put burden on renowned Government assisted cell phone companies, i.e. Verizon and Sprint Corp. to discover potential deals to expand their wealth.

T-Mobile’s report of loss differs in comparison to a report submitted last week by Verizon about the loss of a record number of customers. Verizon’s growth seems to be stalling. Perhaps, this is why the company has decided to keep the option of taking M&A inquiries from Comcast Corporation or Walt Disney Co. hoping to get a deal that could change the fortunes of the largest wireless service provider in the United States.

On the other hand, Sprint INC. has also been trying to put its best foot forward for strengthening its position in the market.

Verizon Amazed All by Not Buying 600 MHz Spectrum

The results of a 600 MHz incentive auction has been declared by the FCC and, a surprising thing is observed. The cellular phone service provider, Verizon, didn’t participate at all! This means that this Government cell phone service firm cannot increase its present coverage with the low-band 600 MHz licenses, which are perfect for reaching inside buildings and covering large geographic areas.

"Verizon cannot comment on the results because the FCC’s mandated quiet period continues to apply until down payments are due, which is not for a couple of weeks," a Verizon spokesman replied when asked why the carrier didn't get any spectrum in the auction. "Verizon is confident, however, in its network position, including its approach to acquiring, managing, and re-framing its spectrum assets to support the network that continues to generate top ratings for customer performance."

Verizon is a well-known Government assisted cell phone company, and its non-participation in the auction is quite surprising. The cellular phone service provider has launched unlimited data plans a few weeks ago that will further affect its wireless network.

Till now, Verizon has been a prime participant in every FCC spectrum auction. In 2008’s FCC low-band spectrum auction, the company’s initial LTE network was set up, i.e. 700 MHz C Block spectrum for about $10 billion.

Verizon has spent around $10.4 billion recently on the midband AWS-3 spectrum, which was auctioned by the FCC around three years ago. The carrier further purchased a midband spectrum in 2011 offered by a group of cable operators.

Verizon’s top management chose not to purchase 600 MHz licenses as they have enormous options when it comes to spectrum. For several years, analysts have talked about the possibility of Verizon signing an agreement with Dish Network.

Now, it has become clear that Dish is spending a lot on its spectrum-collection strategy. The company has been doling out more than $6 billion for additional spectrum.

While Dish has given some hint of using its vast spectrum trove to make some kind of internet-of-things network, possibly with the help of NB-IoT network technology. Many industries believe that Dish may ink a spectrum sale or lease an agreement with a company like one of the large cellular phone service providers, i.e. T-Mobile or Verizon.

Verizon might not be interested in purchasing low-band spectrum. It has already bought XO Communications to get high-band, millimeter-wave spectrum licenses. This renowned cellular phone service provider has installed fixed 5G equipment in over 10 cities across the country to offer superfast, and short-range wireless connections.

"What is most interesting to us was VZ was nowhere to be found. While it does have a tremendous amount of 700MHz spectrum (upper C block), we continue to believe VZ's interests lay in the higher band spectrum assets (2GHz and higher)," wrote Wells Fargo analyst Jennifer Fritzsche to investors after the FCC’s auction results were out.

Verizon might not require any additional spectrum in the near future. It might move toward C-RAN network architecture and other modern network technologies, such as two- and three-carrier aggregation, MIMO and LTE-Unlicensed.

Sprint Cuts Price on Unlimited Data Plan

Sprint, one of largest wireless carriers in the US, is betting on its unlimited plan. Feeling the heat from its competitors, Sprint comes with a new pricing plan on its unlimited data. For the service providers who deal with data plans, calling plans, and are providing free government cell phone plans, this big announcement from a leading network operator will prove to be quite welcoming.

“This new plan continues to offer the best price for unlimited among all national carriers. Verizon and AT&T unlimited plans are 50% more!” the company said. “More than 90% of our customers are already choosing Unlimited,” said Roger Solé, Sprint’s chief marketing officer. “During the past few months, we’ve seen other national wireless carriers offer unlimited plans, but their offers don’t match the value we provide. Within the first year, Verizon’s and AT&T’s unlimited plans will cost consumers at least 50% more,” he further added.

So, when you are searching for free cell phone plans or free government home phone service, it is important that you consider plans from different providers and choose the one that best suits your requirements and offers the best price.

Sprint unveiled its unlimited freedom plan- “It basically extends the savings we were offering as a promotion to new customers until at least June 30, 2018.” Also, the company representative said, “we are eliminating all other rate plans that let customers buy smaller increments of data because 90 percent of Sprint's customers have been signing up for unlimited data.”

Today, there are a number of network operators providing free government cell phone plans to customers based on their eligibility criteria qualification. And, as far as free government home phone service is concerned, you can check out the eligibility criteria on the service provider’s website, however you need to find a reliable service provider who gives you the best advice.

Now, coming to Sprint’s unlimited freedom data, here’s what you need to know-
  • Unlimited data, texts and calls at just $50 for one month for first line
  • $40 a month per line for two lines
  • $30 a month per line for four lines
Another move that the network operator made to entice customers and stay above its new emerging competitors is its new plans for customers who do not want data. “Sources say that while Sprint postpaid is dropping consumer tiered data, Sprint Prepaid will have the new role of being an option for customers who do not need a great amount of data and want to save money via adopting a tier of 3 GB or 5 GB,” Jeffrey Moore of Wave7 wrote in a note to subscribers. Also, reports reveal that Sprint prepaid is likely to see a relaunch in the next few weeks.

“Currently, few Sprint stores have Sprint Prepaid displays (and boxes are empty when there are display,” sources reveal. “Stores do have small signs offering unexplained prepaid discounts on iPhone 5S units, but reps are mostly unable to articulate this offer.” Reports confirm that the carrier may extend Sprint Prepaid to its postpaid smartphone lineup, however, which would help address that challenge.

To conclude, Sprint, a well-known service provider offering free government cell phone plans, is making every move carefully in order to gain customer base and pace up with the rising competition.

Verizon, Cellular Phone Service Launching a New Streaming TV Service

Verizon is a Government cell phone service provider that has maintained a good reputation in the market by delivering satisfactory assistance and alluring cellphone services to its customers. Now the company is going to unveil an online bundle of TV channels. According to Bloomberg News, Verizon took this step to compete with the other cellular phone service providers, namely AT&T, Sony, and Dish Network. All of these content providing companies have similar offerings.

According to the report, the anonymous streaming assistance may come with copious channels, and by released as an app in this summer.

Today, the number of Americans who are spending time watching video on mobile devices have been escalated significantly. Media and telecom companies are considering the fad among people using mobile devices to watch videos. To meet the growing demands, these cellular phone service providers are offering smaller bundles of cable content over the internet. They are also looking for effective strategies to cover their losses in the conventional cable TV subscriptions. An effective way to balance out the losses is by targeting Americans who are not subscribed to pay TV.

There is a high probability that the elite Government cell phone service provider Verizon, may be the latest prime benefactor to deliver live TV over the internet. Although Comcast has also participated in the race, they have made their move towards a streaming TV product by safeguarding streaming rights to different channels that have a relationship with them.

The renowned Dish Network has already launched SlingTV. Sony is not behind in this game! It has introduced Vue in the market. Well-known Google has announced YouTube TV, but it has not launched yet. Each of these companies offer various channels in the price range of $20 to $70 per month.

The Government cell phone service provider, Verizon, has tested online video earlier as well. They launched Go90 service in 2015 to target younger audiences by delivering access to short-form videos. However, a full cable replacement app would certainly be a much larger responsibility.

Cell Phone Service Firms T-Mobile & Sprint Favor Signal Booster Plea

T-Mobile and Sprint both are reputed Government cell phone service providers, known for delivering outstanding services to their customers. They have introduced a gamut of alluring and pocket friendly cell phone and internet plans.

T-Mobile is the third largest wireless network operator in the United States. The German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom (DT) is its majority shareholder. Whereas Sprint Corporation is the fourth largest mobile network operator in the United States, and serves 59.5 million customers, as of January 2017. It provides wireless voice, messaging, and broadband services through its diverse subsidiaries under the Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Assurance Wireless brands.

These giant cellular phone service firms filed their support for a plea to simplify personal use restrictions of signal boosters. The Government cell phone service providers retorted to a request for public comments of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on the petition filed by Wilson Electronics, who is a signal booster industrialist.

Objective of the petition

The appeal purpose is to offer customers open access to signal boosters provided that they register signal boosters with their local service providers. Additional to network subscribers, this appeal would also include public institution, public safety entities, and businesses to use signal boosters with some restrictions.

In their filings, both Government cell phone service providers, T-Mobile and Sprint, said that facilitating personal use restrictions on signal boosters will enable the placement of ingenious signal boosters. This will aid in augmenting the advantages of using signal boosters without the negative effects of interference on the cellular networks. Apart from these cellular phone service firms, the Enterprise Wireless Alliance and the Telecommunications Industry Association have also filed in favor to the Federal Communications Commission. While another renowned Government cell phone service providers, Verizon and AT&T have not filed their comments yet on this petition.

The Government cell phone service providers T-Mobile, Sprint and other regional carrier US Cellular have sold signal boosters to subscribers. The smaller networks consider signal boosters as an efficient way to give competition to the elite communication networks like Verizon and AT&T. Both these cellular phone service firms have maintained a good name in the market by delivering exceptional services.

The lesser known networks have a smaller infrastructure, causing a blotchy service, particularly in the outlying areas. Signal boosters enables a stronger signal for the subscribers in such areas.

Who is using signal boosters?

Apart from individual users, public safety entities and public institutions also use these signal boosters. Emergency services, such as fire departments, first responders, and police crews use signal repeaters expansively. Police departments use signal boosters in cases of cellular signals that do not penetrate buildings, making it unreliable to connect important calls. Fire departments use them to connect to remote communities with poor or mottled coverage. The rural communities’ subscribers can also use signal boosters to interconnect with emergency services and relatives, especially in case they are at the peripheral areas of carrier coverage.

Verizon, an Elite Government Cell Phone Service Provider Brings Back the Unlimited Plan

Verizon is an elite Government cell phone service provider and has now resurrected their unlimited data plan, which hasn’t been available since July 2011. This Government assistance cell phone service provider reintroduces this plan to remain in the league of the fierce competition between the top cell phone service companies.

David Eger, a senior equity analyst with Edwards Jones says “Verizon was sitting out here as the only one that didn’t have an offering,” since all the giant cell phone service companies, like AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile offer unlimited plans.

What Drives Verizon to Come Out With this Plan?

Verizon is bringing back unlimited data, and its general competitive strategy due to last quarter’s statics. The report says that T-Mobile has added 857,000 and Sprint added 347,000 customers, while Verizon lost 36,000 subscribers. So, the company is expecting that their new plan will significantly bestow a positive impact in the upcoming quarter.

Price Comparisons between Different Government Cell Phone Service Providers

The price of the Government cell phone service provider Verizon’s new plan is $80 for one line and $180 for four lines. It is more costly than Sprint and T-Mobile that offer the single line for $60 and $70 and the 4 lines for $160. AT&T has a single line price of $100, whereas for four lines, the customers will pay $180.

People’s response to the Verizon’s Unlimited Plan

Investors see many benefits of this cell phone service company’s new plan. People are excited about the new plan, leading to new customers. Though this plan has only been around for a very short time, Verizon’s President of Operations John Stratton at a Deutsche Bank conference said “we’ve seen a pretty huge rush to unlimited.” Today, people do not look for a cell phone service carrier offering the maximum data, but go for the fastest and most reliable service provider. And Verizon outshines in this scenario as the company has been getting a lot more attention from customers, investors, and the media due to satisfactory services.

Drawbacks for Verizon due to its Unlimited Plan

Undoubtedly, the cell phone service company Verizon will get more customers, but its top paying customers’ bills will go down significantly. Customers using enormous data and paying penalties frequently due to exceeded data allowance can now pay a flat fee for the unlimited data and avoid all penalties. Also, Verizon will have to spend a hefty amount of money on maintaining a superfast network. The company will be spending $11.3 billion in the upcoming months to maintain the high speed network. This is much more than T-Mobile, which is spending $5.1 billion.

Conclusion

The Verizon unlimited plan is more expensive than T-Mobile, but it is justified due to the superior network. People are flocking to its new plan due to the exceptional benefits. The appetite of customers to watch YouTube videos, go on Facebook, and send Snapchats will keep increasing in the future. At a time when data usage is on the rise, providing an unlimited data plan is inherently risky, but Verizon made the move to remain competitive.
