Sprint Boosts Network, Creating 500 Jobs by Adding 105 New Stores

The free Government cell phones provider, Sprint, is planning to open 105 new mobile stores in locations, like Rosemont, Schaumburg, Skokie and Oak Lawn. It will hire 500 employees to staff in these stores.

“We knew we had to add more Sprint and Boost Mobile stores for both our postpaid and prepaid customers,” Jim Mills, Sprint president of Illinois and Wisconsin, said in a statement. “Chicagoans are seeing our network and customer care improvements.”

This Government assistance cell phone company requires more brick-and-mortar stores to meet the growing demands of the people.

Sprint will also augment its Chicago regional network by providing customers the Sprint Magic Box. This device is a wireless small cell that can boost the ability of the network to download and upload data inside homes and businesses.

The first test site for its upgraded network was the Lombard suburb of Chicago with Magic Boxes for outdoor use, indoor small cells and other network advancements. This device allows faster data downloads, thereby, showing significant improvement for video streaming.

“The combination of all of these new technologies will help Sprint densify quicker and it will provide customers an improved experience inside their business and homes while on the Sprint network,” Scott Santi, Sprint vice president of network for Central Area, said in a statement. “We’re extremely excited about the results we’ve already seen in Lombard and nationally.”

Sprint is looking to compete with other giant free Government cell phones providers by providing assistance to customers having several smart devices in their homes or businesses. According to Sprint, data usage of its customers has risen over 1,254 percent in the last five years in the Chicagoland area.

Sprint, AT&T and other wireless providers are striving hard to augment network capacity in order to cover consumer demand, particularly of people using many devices in the same household or business.

The added cells and network enhancements at Sprint is a great step to offer faster downloads for data, particularly better streaming for video without delaying.

The network improvements around the region, and countrywide will take place in the next 24 months. These upgrades may lay the foundation for the coming of 5G, or the next generation of wireless.

"We need to add these steps now to the foundation in order to go to 5G," said Brian Moran, director of site development for Sprint.

Subscribers who want to enjoy the benefits of the Sprint Magic Box would need to fill out a form. The box is free, Moran said.

Sprint’s new mobile stores will provide employment to a large number of people. Additionally, its efforts to offer an advanced network consisting of alluring features will engage an enormous number of customers.

Sprint Cuts Price on Unlimited Data Plan

Sprint, one of largest wireless carriers in the US, is betting on its unlimited plan. Feeling the heat from its competitors, Sprint comes with a new pricing plan on its unlimited data. For the service providers who deal with data plans, calling plans, and are providing free government cell phone plans, this big announcement from a leading network operator will prove to be quite welcoming.

“This new plan continues to offer the best price for unlimited among all national carriers. Verizon and AT&T unlimited plans are 50% more!” the company said. “More than 90% of our customers are already choosing Unlimited,” said Roger SolĂ©, Sprint’s chief marketing officer. “During the past few months, we’ve seen other national wireless carriers offer unlimited plans, but their offers don’t match the value we provide. Within the first year, Verizon’s and AT&T’s unlimited plans will cost consumers at least 50% more,” he further added.

So, when you are searching for free cell phone plans or free government home phone service, it is important that you consider plans from different providers and choose the one that best suits your requirements and offers the best price.

Sprint unveiled its unlimited freedom plan- “It basically extends the savings we were offering as a promotion to new customers until at least June 30, 2018.” Also, the company representative said, “we are eliminating all other rate plans that let customers buy smaller increments of data because 90 percent of Sprint's customers have been signing up for unlimited data.”

Today, there are a number of network operators providing free government cell phone plans to customers based on their eligibility criteria qualification. And, as far as free government home phone service is concerned, you can check out the eligibility criteria on the service provider’s website, however you need to find a reliable service provider who gives you the best advice.

Now, coming to Sprint’s unlimited freedom data, here’s what you need to know-
  • Unlimited data, texts and calls at just $50 for one month for first line
  • $40 a month per line for two lines
  • $30 a month per line for four lines
Another move that the network operator made to entice customers and stay above its new emerging competitors is its new plans for customers who do not want data. “Sources say that while Sprint postpaid is dropping consumer tiered data, Sprint Prepaid will have the new role of being an option for customers who do not need a great amount of data and want to save money via adopting a tier of 3 GB or 5 GB,” Jeffrey Moore of Wave7 wrote in a note to subscribers. Also, reports reveal that Sprint prepaid is likely to see a relaunch in the next few weeks.

“Currently, few Sprint stores have Sprint Prepaid displays (and boxes are empty when there are display,” sources reveal. “Stores do have small signs offering unexplained prepaid discounts on iPhone 5S units, but reps are mostly unable to articulate this offer.” Reports confirm that the carrier may extend Sprint Prepaid to its postpaid smartphone lineup, however, which would help address that challenge.

To conclude, Sprint, a well-known service provider offering free government cell phone plans, is making every move carefully in order to gain customer base and pace up with the rising competition.

Verizon, Cellular Phone Service Launching a New Streaming TV Service

Verizon is a Government cell phone service provider that has maintained a good reputation in the market by delivering satisfactory assistance and alluring cellphone services to its customers. Now the company is going to unveil an online bundle of TV channels. According to Bloomberg News, Verizon took this step to compete with the other cellular phone service providers, namely AT&T, Sony, and Dish Network. All of these content providing companies have similar offerings.

According to the report, the anonymous streaming assistance may come with copious channels, and by released as an app in this summer.

Today, the number of Americans who are spending time watching video on mobile devices have been escalated significantly. Media and telecom companies are considering the fad among people using mobile devices to watch videos. To meet the growing demands, these cellular phone service providers are offering smaller bundles of cable content over the internet. They are also looking for effective strategies to cover their losses in the conventional cable TV subscriptions. An effective way to balance out the losses is by targeting Americans who are not subscribed to pay TV.

There is a high probability that the elite Government cell phone service provider Verizon, may be the latest prime benefactor to deliver live TV over the internet. Although Comcast has also participated in the race, they have made their move towards a streaming TV product by safeguarding streaming rights to different channels that have a relationship with them.

The renowned Dish Network has already launched SlingTV. Sony is not behind in this game! It has introduced Vue in the market. Well-known Google has announced YouTube TV, but it has not launched yet. Each of these companies offer various channels in the price range of $20 to $70 per month.

The Government cell phone service provider, Verizon, has tested online video earlier as well. They launched Go90 service in 2015 to target younger audiences by delivering access to short-form videos. However, a full cable replacement app would certainly be a much larger responsibility.

Verizon, an Elite Government Cell Phone Service Provider Brings Back the Unlimited Plan

Verizon is an elite Government cell phone service provider and has now resurrected their unlimited data plan, which hasn’t been available since July 2011. This Government assistance cell phone service provider reintroduces this plan to remain in the league of the fierce competition between the top cell phone service companies.

David Eger, a senior equity analyst with Edwards Jones says “Verizon was sitting out here as the only one that didn’t have an offering,” since all the giant cell phone service companies, like AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile offer unlimited plans.

What Drives Verizon to Come Out With this Plan?

Verizon is bringing back unlimited data, and its general competitive strategy due to last quarter’s statics. The report says that T-Mobile has added 857,000 and Sprint added 347,000 customers, while Verizon lost 36,000 subscribers. So, the company is expecting that their new plan will significantly bestow a positive impact in the upcoming quarter.

Price Comparisons between Different Government Cell Phone Service Providers

The price of the Government cell phone service provider Verizon’s new plan is $80 for one line and $180 for four lines. It is more costly than Sprint and T-Mobile that offer the single line for $60 and $70 and the 4 lines for $160. AT&T has a single line price of $100, whereas for four lines, the customers will pay $180.

People’s response to the Verizon’s Unlimited Plan

Investors see many benefits of this cell phone service company’s new plan. People are excited about the new plan, leading to new customers. Though this plan has only been around for a very short time, Verizon’s President of Operations John Stratton at a Deutsche Bank conference said “we’ve seen a pretty huge rush to unlimited.” Today, people do not look for a cell phone service carrier offering the maximum data, but go for the fastest and most reliable service provider. And Verizon outshines in this scenario as the company has been getting a lot more attention from customers, investors, and the media due to satisfactory services.

Drawbacks for Verizon due to its Unlimited Plan

Undoubtedly, the cell phone service company Verizon will get more customers, but its top paying customers’ bills will go down significantly. Customers using enormous data and paying penalties frequently due to exceeded data allowance can now pay a flat fee for the unlimited data and avoid all penalties. Also, Verizon will have to spend a hefty amount of money on maintaining a superfast network. The company will be spending $11.3 billion in the upcoming months to maintain the high speed network. This is much more than T-Mobile, which is spending $5.1 billion.

Conclusion

The Verizon unlimited plan is more expensive than T-Mobile, but it is justified due to the superior network. People are flocking to its new plan due to the exceptional benefits. The appetite of customers to watch YouTube videos, go on Facebook, and send Snapchats will keep increasing in the future. At a time when data usage is on the rise, providing an unlimited data plan is inherently risky, but Verizon made the move to remain competitive.

Verizon All Set to Conquer Market by Bringing Back Unlimited Data Plan

As the competition is soaring high, network providers are backing off from the monthly limited plans - the most hated practice of the industry. Why should Verizon stay behind? The network provider is all set to conquer the market by bringing back its unlimited data plan. If you are looking for a free government cell phone plan, here’s why Verizon’s new offering is a thing to rejoice over.

In re-introducing an unlimited data plan, the carrier has joined the rest of industry in this offering. Last summer, T-Mobile and Sprint introduced unlimited data plans at cheaper prices, which helped them attract millions of new customers. On the other hand, Verizon made it clear that it had no interest in offering unlimited plans which consequently resulted in insignificant customer growth for its wireless subscriber base by the end of the year. So, in order to improve its customer base, the carrier is bringing back its unlimited data, starting February 13th 2017.

Some of the government assistance cellphone service providers predicted that Verizon would not offer an unlimited data as it has relatively less available spectrum per subscriber than the smaller carriers. When a customer is on an unlimited data plan, it is likely that they will use more data which will result in crowding of Verizon’s network.  But, a recent statement made by a company representative, Mr. Ronan Dunne, the president of Verizon Wireless says something else- "We’ve built our network so we can manage all the activity that customers undertake and handle the traffic.”

In January, Matthew Ellis, Verizon's chief financial officer, told analysts during an earnings call on Jan 24, "We constantly look at... what's out there. Unlimited is one of the things that some of our competition has at this point of time. That's not something we feel the need to do."

"But as I say, we continually monitor the market and we will see where we head in the future," he added.

What is Verizon Unlimited?

Under the Verizon’s unlimited plan, the customer will get unlimited access to data, text and talk just like the other two network operators. However, the download rates may be slowed down after 22GB per line per month- the limits are quite similar to the ones offered by Sprint and T-Mobile. Also, there are a few features and signs that don’t make it exactly unlimited.

In a statement, the company representative said, “With Verizon Unlimited, cellular users would get unlimited data use on smartphones and tablets, in addition to video streaming, hotspot and calls to both Mexico and Canada. The plan, which will launch on Monday and Verizon called a ‘great value’ will cost $80 for unlimited data, calls and texting; or $45 per line for four separate lines carrying the same features.” Also, the operator has said that unlike Sprint and T-Mobile, it would not degrade the quality of streaming video for the unlimited plans.

But, as a customer it’s your choice

As you know there are a number of service providers who offer free government cell phone plans and as a customer it’s your choice which one you want to go with. Same implies here, you should know how much your actual data usage is and if you are paying overage charges. According to a 2014 study, smartphone users in US over paid around $45 billion annually, mostly because they were not able to pick the right monthly plan.

T-Mobile Cell Phone Service Provider Offers it's New "One" Plan

T-Mobile has come up with another mobile plan. The company has announced a new and improved “One” plan at its “Un-carrier Next” event at CES 2017. It will combine monthly rates, taxes and fees into one price, and thus, offers a transparent rate to the customers.

Features of T-Mobile’s “One” Plan

T-Mobile is a well-known Government assistance cell phone service provider known for providing alluring cell phone plans. Its latest “One” plan is gaining everybody’s attention. It has several exceptional features, such as unlimited data, calls, and text messages, as well as other benefits like T-Mobile Tuesdays and data use in as many as 140 countries. According to Neowin’s report, this plan will exclude other offerings, such as Binge On, because with unlimited data, there is no need to have streaming services not count against your data use.

T-Mobile, Government assistance cell phone service provider’s statement on its plan

T-Mobile is a renowned Government cell phone service provider that made a statement about it’s “One” Plan. According to them, “Today, U.S. wireless customers have a choice — keep getting those confusing, fee-filled bills (like Verizon’s $110 plan that actually costs $210.70 on average for a family of four) or switch over to radical simplicity with T-Mobile One, now all unlimited and all in with monthly taxes and fees included”. Also, “With T-Mobile One, the price advertised is the price you pay every month. No surprises.”

Now, customers will be able to get the plan both online and in retail stores. It will cost them a set amount of money for 1, 2, 3, and 4 lines. You will be expected to pay $70 for one line, $120 for two lines, $140 for three lines, and $160 for four lines. For those who are not inclined to use all that much data, they can go for T-Mobile’s “KickBack” option. It basically returns you $10 back each month that you do not use more than 2GB of data. Also, those who make payments on time, and have good-standing credit can qualify for its KickBack option.

Conclusion

The “One” plan of T-Mobile, a renowned Government cell phone service provider is certainly interesting and expectantly, other carriers will probably follow suit. Unexpected fees can be a real pain when signing up for wireless service, and it is great to see at least one chief carrier trying to do away with them. This Government cell phone service provider has certainly taken the right step by introducing its new plan.

T-Mobile Introduces Low Cost IoT Packs Offering Wireless Data

Cell phone service providers are doing everything to ensure considerable growth in the wireless sector. They are launching new devices and many kinds of schemes to attract new customers. T-Mobile, one of the four major cell phone service providers in United States, has gone a step further in this regard.

IoT (Internet of Things) Packs launched:

The company had been investing a lot of time and money to promote IoT (Internet of Things) for more than a year. The company is still making efforts in this direction.  T-Mobile has introduced two very affordable IoT access packs offering enough data for wireless service subscribers. The company has introduced these two IoT access packs with the objective of making it very easy to get IoT Devices online.

The Base Plan:

T-Mobile cell phone service subscribers can subscribe to this plan by paying just $20 for a year to get 5 MB data per device on monthly basis. This fee will get reduced to only $6 per year to get the same amount of data per device on a monthly basis. For this purpose, customers will have to complete a one year subscription successfully.

The Step-Up Plan:

This is the second IoT Access Pack introduced by T-Mobile. The company is offering unlimited data to its cellular phone service users at the speed of 64Kbps. As far as the fee for this plan is concerned, it will not exceed $25 per device for an entire year. The company also seems to be executing a marketing strategy on a psychological level by offering $5 off for every device for the first year. It is a limited time offer with the Step-Up Plan.

There are Plenty of Reasons for the Plan:
  1. “Like everything they do, the carriers overcomplicate the Internet of Things, and that leads to more hassle and cost for customers,” says Mr. Doug Chartier, the Senior Vice-President at T-Mobile.
  2. Usually cell phone makers get wireless modules from one vendor.
  3. They also have to buy a data plan from a cellular phone service provider in order to be able to introduce their IoT solutions in market.
  4. These plans offered by cell phone service providers are heavily overpriced.
  5. All these things together make the process very complex for all device makers active in the market at present.
  6. All customers using T-Mobile cell phone services will get modules and data for the development of the next great solution related to The Internet of Things.

What Else?

The company has announced covering the cost of the Sequans Cat1 Module through bill credits regardless of the plan chosen by cellular phone service users.

The T-Mobile think tank continuously is working on Category M and Narrowband IoT next generation modules capable of making use of T-Mobile’s LTE coverage to the fullest.

These next generation IoT modules are also capable of helping IoT customers using T-Mobile cell phone service get options for longer lifecycles and faster data as compared to 2G Networks.

A Few Words about This Announcement by T-Mobile:

The launch of the Base Plan and Step-Up plan for IoT customers, the latest effort by T-Mobile, is to be a recognized part of the fast growing IoT market. Partnerships with companies like Twilio, Sequans and Novatel Wireless proves it perfectly. Now we just need to wait and watch the impact of these IoT plans on the T-Mobile customer base and ROI. It won’t take much time.

Keep coming back to our website and stay updated in this regard.

T-Mobile Implements $0.01 per Minute Charge for Making Calls to Out-Of-Plan Numbers

Who This News is for?
If you are a T-Mobile cellular phone service subscriber, this news is definitely for you.  The company has revised its policy for conference calls. If you frequently have to make important conference calls then you must educate yourself with the new policy of T-Mobile in this regard.

A look at the New Policy:

T-Mobile has recently rolled out a new policy for all the cellular phone service customers who make calls to “out-of-plan phone numbers”. According to this new policy, all T-Mobile’s customers making calls to “out-of-plan phone numbers” will have to pay a $0.01 per minute charge. This charge will be applicable on services such as:
  • Conference calls
  • Chat lines
  • Radio Broadcast lines

T-Mobile Says:

The charge, according to the new policy, will affect calls only to a “Limited number of services”. Most importantly, most conference calls utilized by employers will not be subject to any such charge, confirms T-Mobile.

How You Can Avoid Paying This Charge:

If any cellular phone service subscriber ends-up using any service which is clearly subject to T-Mobile new $0.01 per minute charge, the customer will be warned after the number is dialed. In this way, customers will get an opportunity to hang up and avoid paying any such charges.

T-Mobile has a Reason Behind Implementing This Charge:

This is not a charge to any existing calling plans. Instead such calls have always been deemed out-of-plan, says T-Mobile. In addition, the company also says that these calls tend to cost more for T-Mobile for competition and this further helps the company in the process of managing those costs.

The Main Culprit:

Seriously, this is not going to be a charge that all or most of the T-Mobile cell phone service subscribers are going to face. However, some folks have faced these charges in recent days, including some of them on Reedit. Services like freeconferencecall.com can be considered as the main culprit for this charge implemented by T-Mobile.

What to Do in Such a Situation?

All T-Mobile cell phone service subscribers are advised either to comply with the advice issued by the company unless they don’t mind paying $0.01 per minute charge for using a better and different level of service.

At last:

The company has devised this new policy for its cell phone service subscribers for making calls to “out-of-plan phone numbers”.  However, this charge will be applicable for a limited number of services, as said by the company. Has anyone encountered any such $0.01 per minute “out-of-plan phone number” charge so far? If not, then such customers must get ready for it as soon as possible. Coming to the point, considering increasing market competition, it will be very interesting to see the way customers respond or react to this decision by T-Mobile.

T-Mobile Restores Cellular Phone Services After Serious Network Connectivity Issues

It appears as though this is not a good time for T-Mobile. Recently, T-Mobile’s cell phone service users faced network connectivity issue again. The customers certainly did not appear to be happy with it. They logged into their social media accounts and started expressing their annoyance in this regard.

What Exactly Happened?

A lot of T-Mobile customers lost cellular their connection in places where they should otherwise have full connectivity signals. Customers faced this problem mainly because of a carrier settings update that is related to iOS 10.
Apple Insider Confirmed the Glitch

This glitch has been confirmed by Apple Insider. This technical glitch kept the editor’s iPhon6 totally offline in an area which generally receives full strength of signals. He had to reboot the phone in order to get rid of this annoying problem.

Customers Reaction

The T-Mobile Cell phone service network wasn’t facing such a problem for the first time. It has happened in the past too, and the customers didn’t seem to be in a forgiving mood this time. They started complaining to the company through social media. Some of the complaints were aggressive as customers were openly expressing their annoyance about the quality of T-Mobile’s network.  Some of the customers even predicted expected excuses about this problem by T-Mobile. Some of them openly threatened to give up using T-Mobile Cellular phone services, particularly after facing a similar problem for a second time in less than 30 days. Customers were also asking for some kind of compensation whereas some customers also complained of their work suffering.

T-Mobile Acknowledged Some Calling Issues

The company acknowledged some sort of calling problem nationwide for a particular period of time during the early hours on Friday morning. Therefore, CEO Mr. John Legere tweeted and said that the company is aware of this issue. He further assured a quick solution to the problem.

T-Mobile Support Staff Got into Action

The Company’s support staff advised all customers facing this problem to restart their phones in order to get connected to the network. Restarting the phone helped many cellular phone service users get connected to the network again. However, this solution did not work well for some subscribers. Some received five bars on their cell phones whereas some users hardly got one or two bars on their phones in the same area. However, they were happy to get connected again to the network. They applauded the way T-Mobile handled the problem and resolved it.

T-Mobile Issued a Statement in This Regard

Now the T-Mobile media department got into action and released a statement on the situation. Actually, the company’s media department confirmed to the associated press that “the issue is fully resolved”. As for the cause of the service interruption, T-Mobile’s media department kept quiet but thanked all customers for keeping their patience.

Although the problem has been resolved, the company should not relax as this has happened twice in less than 30 days. Instead, the company think tank needs to do a lot of serious work to determin appropriate actions to make sure that this does not happen again. Now it will be very interesting to see the way T-Mobile prepares itself to eliminate any possibility of such a problem in future.

Verizon Wireless Soon Introducing Three Carrier Aggregation Technology for Boosting Network Speed up to 300 Mbps

Verizon Wireless is all set to speed-up its network like never before. The company is about to exceed its LTE (Long Term Evolution) network speed over 300 Mbps. This is likely to be done using a technology called TCA (Three Carrier Aggregation).

This technology utilizes separated lanes of spectrum to help them get used as a single wider lane. Its industry competitors like Sprint and AT&T have already been making the most of 2x Carrier Aggregation technology for a while now.  Sprint named it’s version “LTE Plus”. The company has been hiding the availability of Three Carrier Aggregation technology, apparently at its disposal for a long time.

The Possible Outcomes of Verizon Wireless’ Decision of Introducing Three Carrier Aggregation Technology

Using this technology, Verizon Wireless will become the first government assistance cell phone service provider to conduct a large scale roll-out of TCA (Three Carrier Aggregation).  This move to provide more speed and capacity to mobile users surely rang the warning bells for Sprint and T-Mobile. However, both Sprint and T-Mobile have been working on Three Carrier Aggregation publicly. Therefore, it is clear that Verizon Wireless, the government assistance cell phone service provider, needs to pull its socks up to convert its narrow competitive lead in the market into a big lead.

According to the information provided by trustworthy sources of Verizon Wireless, the company has already been using TCA (Two Carrier Aggregation) in most cities whereas Three Carrier Aggregation technology is being utilized in just a very few cities. The company has confirmed the speed range of Two Carrier technology at a maximum of up to 225Mbps. It effectively bonds 700MHz with the 1700 MHz Spectrum. Using Three Carrier technology, this range will easily exceed the speed of 300 Mbps. This variety of spectrum allows the company to add 1900MHz spectrum to make it even faster.

But the Story Is Full of Twists:

This technology does not support every mobile set. Therefore, it is important for all mobile users interested in using it to have that right phone that is supported by this technology for various reasons mentioned below:
  • This is service will not easily support most of the mobile phones in use today. Users will have to upgrade their government cell phones to one that supports this technology to help them be able to use it.
  • Its speed will also vary as per the individual bandwidth.
  • All of the government cell phone service providers use different speeds for every band of spectrum. This results in the end spectrums used with a varying amount of speed with various width pipes when they are merged together.
  • The level or capacity of those frequency pipes also comes into play.
Apply now for Free Cell Phone Service

All in all, it is not a cakewalk to deploy this technology for utilization over long distances. And Sprint, having a huge amount of spectrum is the best example of it, says a company insider.

That Is Merely the Outline of the Whole Story:

All of the reasons mentioned above don’t completely describe Verizon’s clear intentions behind making this decision. So far, Verizon Wireless has confirmed the list of mobile phones that support Three Carrier Aggregation technology that may include the following mobile phones:
  • Samsung’s Galaxy S7, Note 5, Note 7 and the S6 Edge Plus
  • HTC 10
  • Apple’s iPhone 7
  • LG V20
Verizon Wireless has confirmed the news that they are striving to complete all sorts of firmware updates for phones supported by the Three Carrier Aggregation technology. With the help of this new technology, the company is expecting to expand its consumer base and consolidate on its narrow market lead over Sprint and T-Mobile as a government assisted cell phone service provider. It will be very interesting to see what the outcome of this technology will be on company’s plan to seek new growth in the wireless sector.

The Most Expensive Plans of AT&T’s MVNO H2O Gain Significant Data

AT&T’s MVNOs are known to offer some of the best whole nationwide coverage maps per dollar. H2O Wireless, an MVNO that runs on AT&T Mobility's network and is managed by Fort Lee, N.J. based Locus Telecommunications has revised three of its most expensive monthly plans, a move that will shower a whole lot of supplementary data on its customers. A significant amount of additional data has been added to each plan, while no change to pricing is made.

The $60 monthly plan which initially holds 3GB of data will now offer 4.5GB data and unlimited talk and text. Another monthly plan worth $50 doubled the data from 2GB to 4GB. The third plan to upgrade data is the $40 monthly plan in which the data has been tripled from its previous amount.

No changes were made to the MVNO’s cheaper plans. All of its plans offer unlimited text and calling that includes unlimited international talk and text to more than 50 countries. Varying sums of credit for international voice calls are also part of the plans.

The company announced the updated plans a fortnight ago, as reported by the Prepaid Phone News. The change is also propagated via the company’s twitter page.

H2O is managed by a subsidiary of Japanese telecom KDDI. The company proudly holds 45 million mobile users and a good number of 8 million fixed-line broadband customers and generated approximately $43 billion the previous year.

The company keeps updating its offerings in order to be in line with the competitive market. As per a statement passed by H2O sometime back "H2O Wireless faces fierce competition in the market so we are always looking for ways to continuously expand our consumer offerings.” In 2013, it offered unlimited data at $60 per month by withdrawing the offer and substituting it with a 2GB cover in 2011. Also, the service provider boosted its data allotments last year in Oct, relapsing to its previous plans.

T-Mobile Outshines AT&T and Verizon in Customer Satisfaction

T-Mobile tops the four major wireless carriers in customer service ratings, according to the latest report released by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). The US Company has moved ahead of AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the past year. It offers discounts through government cell phone plans in various states.

Internet service and pay-TV companies got poor rankings in the ACSI report as well as a recent customer survey. Wireless carriers performed better than home Internet and subscription TV providers, indicating bigger competition in the mobile market. Claes Fornell, ACSI founder and Chairman said in a press release “Innovation tends to be strongest in markets with multiple companies vying for consumer preference.” “There are numerous wireless carriers and plenty of different cell phones to choose from. The same is not true for pay TV and ISPs, where consumers are usually beholden to a duopoly.”

Out of ACSI's 100-point scale, T-Mobile scored a 74, an escalation by 4 points when compared to last year. AT&T and Verizon lag behind with each getting 71. Where Verizon stuck to the previous year’s score, AT&T stepped up one point since last year. Sprint got a hike by 5 points by moving from 65 to 70 as compared to last year.

Though the total number of subscribers is only half the size of those of Verizon and AT&T, T-Mobile also topped others in terms of number of smartphones sold in the recent quarter. The company has brought some intense changes in recent past such as killing contracts, free international data roaming, data rollover, data exemptions on music and video services, and many more.

The company is currently working on network quality, which has remained the biggest issue. It is targeting to buy low-band spectrum to eradicate network issues over rural areas and indoors. Thus the residents of some rural areas having government cell phone plans from the company are going to have better network quality.

The average score achieved by a wireless phone company is usually 71, while scores for home Internet service and pay-TV were 64 and 65, respectively.
